Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Planning, the Project Scheduler will assist in coordinating the design process throughout the project lifecycle, from tendering to final handover.
Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing essential project documentation
- Developing and supporting the execution of a construction schedule
- Defining methodologies and establishing outputs in collaboration with estimators and team members
- Preparing a resource-loaded schedule and reviewing outcomes for alignment with expectations
- Compiling forecast schedules
- Identifying changes and assessing their time implications
- Preparing, maintaining, and communicating the contractual schedule to meet project requirements
- Collaborating with Site Agents to monitor progress, milestones, and task completion
- Prioritizing Health and Safety and environmental considerations in all approaches
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Chartered status is advantageous
- Experience across a diverse range of civil engineering projects
- Familiarity with NEC contracts
- A broad understanding of Civil Engineering principles
- Proficiency in Planning Software, with experience in tools such as P6, ASTA Powerproject, or Microsoft Project being beneficial
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
