About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Compass Group UK & Ireland. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading our culinary operations and ensuring that our food service meets the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Work with our culinary team to develop and implement new menu concepts that meet the needs of our clients and customers.
  • Food Quality and Safety: Ensure that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and safety, complying with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the management of kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock control, to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet our culinary needs.
  • Financial Management: Manage kitchen budgets and financial resources, ensuring that we are able to meet our financial targets and objectives.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that our clients and customers are delighted with the food and service that we provide.
Requirements
  • Culinary Qualifications: Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent in culinary arts.
  • Leadership Experience: Have experience in a similar Chef Manager role, with a proven track record of leading and managing a team of chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and customers.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Be able to think critically and solve problems effectively, with a focus on finding solutions that meet the needs of our clients and customers.
  • Time Management: Have excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
