Software Development Manager

About the RoleAs a Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of software developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, goals, and timelines, and ensure the delivery of software solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of software developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, goals, and timelines.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on development status and progress.
- Substantial team leadership and organisational capabilities to develop a group of talented individuals into a cohesive team.
- A proven track record of managing software development projects from inception to completion.
- A deep understanding of software engineering principles, including coding, testing, and debugging.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
- Excellent technical competence including PowerBI, DAX Studio, and Java.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to explain technical concepts and processes to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including private medical insurance, 25 days' annual leave (rising to 28 days with length of service), enhanced maternity and paternity leave, income protection, and pension. You will also have the flexibility to work from home up to three days per week.
