Software Development Manager

Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for software development?

We're seeking a talented Software Development Manager to join our team at Weatherbys Banking Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a team of software developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of software developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, goals, and timelines.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on development status and progress.

Requirements:

  • Substantial team leadership and organisational capabilities to develop a group of talented individuals into a cohesive team.
  • A proven track record of managing software development projects from inception to completion.
  • A deep understanding of software engineering principles, including coding, testing, and debugging.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Excellent technical competence including PowerBI, DAX Studio and Java.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to explain technical concepts and processes to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in the financial services industry.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £80,000 - £85,000 per annum depending on experience.
