About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our team as a Leadership Development Tutor, specializing in Counselling Skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering teaching, learning, and assessment to learners on our Flexible Learning Courses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to learners on our Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills.
  • Assess learner performance and provide robust feedback in accordance with Awarding Body requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure timely achievements, including retention and achievement targets.
  • Provide exit advice to learners, supporting them in setting personal goals for career progression.
  • Liaise with management to discuss learner progress and address any areas of concern.
  • Conduct drop-in sessions via video conferencing and meet with the Tutor Support Officer to discuss learner progress.
  • Make initial contact with learners within 3 days of allocation and maintain regular contact.
  • Address any actions identified by the internal moderation team within a period of 10 days.
  • Attend mandatory standardization meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Undertake any necessary Data Protection responsibilities and duties as required by the post.
  • Undertake any training relevant to the efficient execution of any of the above duties and take responsibility for your own personal development.
  • Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviors.
  • Promote equal opportunities and recognition of diversity throughout the company.
  • Comply with the Safeguarding, Prevent, and Health and Safety Policies and be vigilant to potential concerns and risks at all times.
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Provide learners, customers, and colleagues with support, advice, and guidance as part of your everyday role.
Requirements
  • L3 Counselling qualification.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on own and is self-motivated.
  • Ability to manage own diary and caseload.
  • Recent sector experience and CPD.
  • Assessing Award (A1/A2/D32/D33/TAQA or equivalent qualification) is preferred but not essential.
