Are you seeking a fulfilling career within the NHS?
Our Versatile Patient Services Support Assistants are essential in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and providing ward-level food and beverage services throughout the Trust.
All positions will involve evening shifts, typically starting from 4pm onwards, with some shifts from 14:00 to 22:00 (daytime positions are not available).
Salary - £ per hour, with additional enhancements/unsocial hours payments where applicable.
Please specify in your application which site you are available to work at, as we have openings at both Northern General and Royal Hallamshire Hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
All roles will require performing a variety of domestic tasks, such as upholding a high standard of cleanliness using modern cleaning techniques and equipment, with comprehensive training provided.
Occasionally, the role may involve cleaning bodily fluids and barrier cleaning, and once proficient, you will be expected to mentor new staff members.
Multi-skilled personnel will receive dual training, enabling them to also fulfill the duties of Food and Beverage Assistants. This role involves serving meals to patients at the ward level, with full training provided, including Food Safety Level 2. Responsibilities include all aspects of the patient meal service, ensuring the ward kitchen remains organized and all kitchen equipment is maintained in a clean state.
