Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of payments or collection of debts
  • Record all purchase/spend or sales invoices activity in the finance system
  • Resolve disputed invoices/payment requests with suppliers or customers and colleagues
  • Coordinate with colleagues to ensure timely and effective responses to supplier or customer enquiries
  • Maintain accurate supplier or customer records, including bank account, email, and contact details
  • Ensure delegated authority list and cash handlers record is up to date in accordance with required controls
  • Prepare and enter period-end journals
  • Allocate and process all BACS payments, banking, EPOS, and merchant services receipts
  • Critically self-assess and improve existing processes on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and procedures
  • Support improvement projects as required
  • Document, review, and maintain accurate procedures for all tasks
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a financial environment
  • Experience of working in either Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable
  • Experience of working with financial systems
  • Capable of data manipulation and reporting
  • Good communication skills with a high customer service ethos
  • High standard IT/MI aptitude, including Excel
  • Ability to work flexibly, accurately, and to tight deadlines
  • Personal resilience and ability to work on own initiative
