About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Design Engineer to join our team at Brother Industries (U.K.) Ltd. As a key member of our automation department, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and improving our production lines and equipment for use in UK and other Brother production facilities worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed designs using CAD software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct research and analysis to ensure design feasibility and optimization, taking into account industrial automation and manufacturing processes.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of designs, modifications, and project progress, including project costings and BOMs.
  • Perform testing and validation to ensure design performance and reliability, and provide support for modifications/design changes found at Build/Commissioning stages of the project.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar subject. You should have strong knowledge of using 3D CAD, industrial automation, and manufacturing processes. Additionally, you should have an interest in system/mechanical assembly design, and be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
