Position Overview

Are you interested in joining a leading team of gastrointestinal Radiographers recognized nationally for their expertise?

We are seeking a qualified individual to become part of our team, specializing in the performance and interpretation of CT colonography (CTC) at an enhanced or advanced level. A qualification to conduct CTC, either at PgC level or through the National CTC Training and Accreditation Programme (NCTCTAP), is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with a validated reporting qualification and relevant experience, although applications from those aspiring to reach this level will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

This role is for a GI Radiographer. It is a full-time position suitable for radiographers specializing in CT Colonography.

You will engage in all facets of the GI imaging service, including CT Colonography and various other GI imaging modalities.

Education & Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • DCR/Radiography Degree
  • HCPC registration
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities relevant to the current role
  • Postgraduate qualification in CT Colonography
  • Evidence of clinical training and development pertinent to GI Imaging

Desirable Qualifications

  • Membership in relevant special or occupational interest groups such as GIRSIG

Experience

Essential Experience

  • Relevant experience as a general Radiographer
  • Experience in conducting audits
  • Proficiency in CT imaging
  • Clinical Reporting experience

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in GI Fluoroscopy

Knowledge

Essential Knowledge

  • Familiarity with CRIS and PACS systems
  • Awareness of current developments in the NHS and specialized fields
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Desirable Knowledge

  • Ability to mentor and teach students
  • Competence in presenting to groups
  • Knowledge of Trust electronic systems (Evolve, Epro, Carestream, E-track)

  • Ability to make decisions regarding specialized service provision
