We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the management of diabetes and endocrine disorders.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with complex diabetes and endocrine conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to ensure high standards of care.
- Provide education and training to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to research and publications in the field of diabetes and endocrinology.
- Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and Specialist Register in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
- Completion of a Specialist Training Programme in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
- Experience in the management of diabetes and endocrine disorders, including insulin pump management and sub-specialty areas.
- Accreditation as a DAFNE doctor or equivalent experience of structured patient education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and management skills, with a track record of achieving high standards of care.
