About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the management of diabetes and endocrine disorders.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with complex diabetes and endocrine conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to ensure high standards of care.
  • Provide education and training to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to research and publications in the field of diabetes and endocrinology.
Requirements
  • Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and Specialist Register in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
  • Completion of a Specialist Training Programme in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
  • Experience in the management of diabetes and endocrine disorders, including insulin pump management and sub-specialty areas.
  • Accreditation as a DAFNE doctor or equivalent experience of structured patient education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and management skills, with a track record of achieving high standards of care.
