Job Title: Residential Support Worker

GSL Education's South Yorkshire Branch is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Residential Team as a Residential Support Worker. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with Children aged 5-18, with Emotional Trauma, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health, and Challenging Behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with other professionals, ensuring that each young person's needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with young people, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure a safe and secure living environment.
  • Ensure all paperwork is correctly filled out, including incident forms, medication administration records, logbooks, handover sheets, and hourly checks.
  • Organize and participate in recreational and educational activities that promote social skills, personal growth, and community involvement.
  • Support and guide young people in managing their emotions and behaviours.
Essential Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of UK experience in a care setting with Children.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Willingness to engage with residents.
  • Relevant qualification in Childcare or Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 3).
