Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and management to the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support services.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and develop a skilled and dedicated team of staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care.
- Childcare and Support: Develop and implement individual care plans, ensuring the needs of each child are met and their well-being is promoted.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks to the children and staff, ensuring a safe and secure environment at all times.
- Collaboration and Communication: Build and maintain effective relationships with external agencies, families, and communities, ensuring a collaborative approach to supporting our young residents.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Degree-level education plus NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent, and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (funded if not already held).
- Experience: Proven experience in residential care of children and staff management within the last 5 years.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and team working abilities, and in-depth knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and associated quality standards.
