The Role

The Senior Project Planner will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring project programmes and controls. This key role will provide detailed and strategic inputs for all time-related matters, ensuring compliance with project requirements and adopting the most economical construction strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programming, planning, monitoring, reporting, feedback, and mitigation measuring.
  • Leading the planning and coordination processes, implementing and maintaining project business plans.
  • Ensuring programme compliance with project requirements and developing a sequence of events for optimal construction strategy.
  • Analysing performance and advising the project team on potential impact and recommending improvements.

Requirements

  • Major project experience is ideal, but applications from candidates with smaller-scale project planning experience are also encouraged.
  • Life Science project experience is preferred, but any transferrable experience is beneficial.
  • A good understanding of construction techniques and a HNC / Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar sector-related course, and/or CIOB Membership.
  • Experience in contributing to pre-contact planning, work winning, and processes, producing a Bid Programme and associated time-related information as part of a tender bid team.
  • Project planning experience and knowledge of strategic planning and project/programme management systems.
  • Ability to analyse, collate, and utilise a range of data and information for reporting and forecasting, as well as setting 4D modelling for projects.
