Job Title: Plumber/Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Plumber/Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Erlestoke, a Category C adult male prison. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out plumbing and mechanical maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 in a mechanical or plumbing discipline or equivalent.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
