Role Summary:

We are seeking our inaugural dedicated Pricing team member. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for advising on pricing adjustments to enhance profitability and sales performance. You will develop and sustain risk and demand models, refine our pricing algorithms, and adapt strategies in response to market dynamics. Collaboration with underwriting, technology, and executive teams will be essential to convey your insights and evaluate outcomes. This position is well-suited for an experienced pricing analyst or an emerging manager eager to take on greater challenges.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience: A solid foundation in personal lines pricing; familiarity with niche insurance products is advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in R and SQL, with working knowledge of Python and SAS; adept in Risk and Street pricing, and proficient in GLM & GBM modeling.
• Data Management Skills: Capable of constructing rating frameworks and integrating both internal and external data sources.
• Commercial Acumen: Ability to identify and leverage factors that drive growth in our offerings and overall business.
• Collaborative Spirit: Enthusiastic about contributing to the development of an innovative product and working alongside diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on pricing modifications to enhance financial performance.
• Develop and maintain risk and demand models.
• Refine our pricing algorithms and respond proactively to market shifts.
• Collaborate with underwriting, technology, and executive teams.
• Integrate and develop data sources to support effective pricing strategies.
• Lead technical initiatives and drive commercial growth.

Technical Competencies:

• Programming Skills: Proficient in R and SQL; strong capabilities in Python and SAS.
• Modeling Expertise: Experience with GLM & GBM, as well as machine learning models including GBMs and Decision Trees.
• Data Management: Develop ETL processes and oversee database management.
• Tools: Proficient in Earnix, Radar, PowerBI, Qlik, and Sisense.
