Role Summary:

We are seeking our inaugural dedicated Pricing Strategist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for advising on pricing adjustments to enhance profitability and sales performance. You will develop and maintain risk assessment and demand forecasting models, refine our pricing algorithms, and adapt strategies in response to market dynamics. Collaboration with underwriting, technology, and executive teams will be essential to effectively communicate your insights and track performance metrics. This position is well-suited for an experienced pricing analyst or an emerging manager eager to take on greater challenges.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience: A solid foundation in personal lines pricing; familiarity with niche insurance products is advantageous.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in R and SQL, with working knowledge of Python and SAS; experience in Risk and Street pricing, along with proficiency in GLM & GBM modeling.
• Data Management Skills: Capability to construct rating frameworks and integrate both internal and external data sources.
• Commercial Acumen: Ability to identify and leverage factors that drive growth in our offerings and overall business.
• Collaborative Spirit: Enthusiasm for contributing to the development of an innovative product and working alongside diverse stakeholders.

• Advise on pricing modifications to enhance financial performance.
• Develop and sustain risk and demand forecasting models.
• Refine our pricing algorithms and respond proactively to market shifts.
• Collaborate with underwriting, technology, and executive teams.
• Integrate and develop data sources to support effective pricing strategies.
• Lead technical initiatives and drive commercial growth.

Technical Skills Required:

• Programming Languages: Proficient in R and SQL; strong skills in Python and SAS.
• Modeling Expertise: Familiarity with GLM & GBM, as well as machine learning models including GBMs and Decision Trees.
• Data Management: Experience in developing ETL processes and managing databases.
• Tools: Proficient in Earnix, Radar, PowerBI, Qlik, and Sisense.
