Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Administration and Support Specialist to join our team at Ad Warrior. As a key member of our IMS and Order Communications team, you will play a critical role in driving forward our commitment to providing world-class physical and mental health care for our women, children, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration: Lead the system administration activities, database maintenance, system testing, problem analysis and resolution, training, and user support for the IMS (RIS) and the Order Communications Solution.
  • Information Management: Ensure that all information, irrespective of media, is processed and used in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Team Support: Provide administrative and first-line management and support to the PACS and IMS team and assist with the transfer of images using the National PACS Teams.
  • Clinical Staff Training: Ensure all clinical staff receive appropriate training in the use of PACS and IMS.
  • Software Development: Identify and develop future software development potential of PACS/IMS and changes in clinical practices to meet the Trust's business needs.
  • Helpdesk Management: Manage the Clinical System Support Team and helpdesk daily.
  • Order Communications Management: Manage the radiology aspect of the ICE Order Comms solution maintaining the catalogue between Order Communications and RIS in association with the Pathology IT Team.
  • User Awareness: Promote and develop user awareness of the importance of user accuracy and adherence to policy when using IMS and the Order Communications Systems.
  • Training and Development: Demonstrate the ability to co-ordinate, plan, and deliver user-level training to individuals and groups, as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Good standard of Secondary Education including GCSE or equivalent in English, Mathematics, and a Science subject.
  • Continuous Development: Evidence of continuous development.
  • ITIL Knowledge: A sound knowledge of the ITIL Processes with emphasis on Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Experience: Experience supporting end-user of multiple information systems.
  • Implementation Experience: Experience of participating in systems implementation.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and manage staff as necessary in the delivery of systems support.
  • Computer Skills: Proven ability in learning new and complex computer systems.
  • Equality and Inclusion: Demonstrate an understanding of the practices of equality and inclusion in the delivery of this role.
