The Role: Waste Management Operator

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Waste Management Operator at our Lincoln facility. In this role, you will play a vital part in the safe and efficient operation of our waste processing equipment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all activities within the tipping hall and ash hall are conducted safely and comply with FCC Environment's safety policies, procedures, and all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate vehicle movements for deliveries and collections of materials and products at the site.
  • Conduct risk assessments to ensure safe working practices at all times.
  • Induct visitors on site safety and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment through regular housekeeping.
  • Act as the Competent Person under the Safety Rules.
  • Record and report any accidents, incidents, or near misses in accordance with FCC Environment procedures.

What We're Looking For:

  • The ability to operate overhead cranes, front loader machinery, forklift trucks, and weighbridges (training will be provided).
  • A strong understanding of health and safety and environmental legislation.
  • Experience in managing traffic flow safely and efficiently within a busy environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic IT applications.
