About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Epping Florist Works, specializing in older adults' mental health.

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering voluntary, outpatient psychological therapy and assessment for consumers aged 65 and above, working with a range of age-related clinical presentations and cultural backgrounds.

The role involves delivering specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions, and consultation to address the needs of older consumers with complex mental health problems and disorders.

The successful candidate will participate in care planning and multidisciplinary meetings to ensure mental health consumers accessing our services are supported from a recovery-based and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions, and consultation to address the needs of older consumers with complex mental health problems and disorders.
  • Participate in care planning and multidisciplinary meetings to ensure mental health consumers accessing our services are supported from a recovery-based and nurturing environment.
  • Supervise Psychologists and other disciplines working within the organization, as needed.
  • Evaluate clinical outcomes of services and assist in the development and provision of education and training programs.

What You'll Need:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Experience working with older adults and their families, preferably in a mental health setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services.
