Job Summary:
Venn Group is seeking an experienced Environmental Protection Team Manager to join our team on a hybrid basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting our client's environmental protection efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Environmental Protection: Support the regulation of industrial processes, investigate statutory nuisance complaints, and advise planning and licensing teams.
- Inspections and Investigations: Conduct inspections, investigate complaints, and take appropriate actions to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare reports and participate in council meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Qualifications and Experience: A relevant degree in Environmental Health or a related field is preferred, along with experience in a similar role, ideally in local government or a regulatory environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of contaminated land, air quality, private water supply, and pollution control.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent time management and ability to manage a varied workload.
