We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of clinical trials, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have extensive experience of working within a ward environment as a qualified nurse, with a strong background in clinical research and a proven track record of effective multidisciplinary team working. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating expert research nursing care, as well as recruiting patients to clinical trials and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate expert research nursing care for patients attending the Department.
- Recruit patients to clinical trials and ensure their safety and well-being.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations 2004 and Amended Regulations 2006.
- Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Level 1 NMC Registered Nurse.
- Educated to degree level or above.
- Relevant specialist course or equivalent experience (e.g. SACT).
- Extensive experience of working within a ward environment as a qualified nurse.
- Experience with Access Databases, Excel Spreadsheets, Ecrf, and patient database systems.
- Experience of effective multidisciplinary team working.
- Familiar with Good Clinical Practice & Certification.
