Clinical Nurse Specialist/Research Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist/Research Nurse to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a pioneering project promoting access to clinical trials for ethnic minority women with breast cancer.

About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist/Research Nurse, you will play a key role in introducing clinical research concepts to patients, signposting them to educational materials, and supporting those commencing or continuing on breast cancer clinical trials. You will also work closely with our academic team to evaluate the project's impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote clinical trial participation among ethnic minority women with breast cancer.
  • Provide education and support to patients on clinical trials, addressing any queries or concerns they may have.
  • Collaborate with the academic team to evaluate the project's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Represent the project at conferences and events, promoting its goals and achievements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven clinical skills and sound knowledge base in Breast Oncology.
  • Good Clinical Practice certificate (specific to clinical trials) - to be completed ASAP once in post if not already held.
  • Research and clinical trials experience, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
