Are you a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a passion for environmental science? We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Sampler to join our team at Anglian Water Services.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Laboratory Sampler to collect and analyze water samples from various locations across the Colchester area. As a key member of our scientific sampling team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of our water samples, which are critical to our customers' health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and analyze water samples from various locations, including water treatment works, recycling centers, boreholes, reservoirs, and customer properties.
- Conduct on-site chlorine tests and prepare sampling bottles to ensure the accuracy of every sample.
- Work within regulatory guidelines and meet our quality standards to ensure the integrity of our water samples.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues in the laboratory and engage with customers to deliver excellent customer service.
- A scientific background or A-Level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field, such as environmental science, chemistry, or biology.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with manual lifting and driving throughout the day, with a flexible and can-do attitude.
