Harris Hill is seeking a Lead Financial Operations Manager for a prominent Charitable Trust. This is a stand-alone finance role that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial health of the organization.
- Employment Type: Full Time, 5 days a week
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days in the office

ROLE OVERVIEW
- The Lead Financial Operations Manager will oversee daily financial activities, management, and reporting, while also providing strategic financial planning and analysis to support the organization's growth objectives.
- This position will include responsibilities for enhancing systems and business processes, as well as managing facilities.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of all invoice processing, expense reimbursements, and grant distributions.
- Handling invoicing and recharges related to various services, including rent, service charges, insurance, utilities, and IT.
- Reconciliation of bank transactions and management of payroll and pension arrangements in collaboration with the payroll provider.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts along with comprehensive written analysis.
- Development of financial documentation for the Board and Trustees.
- Formulation of Annual Budgets and oversight of year-end accounts and processes, including auditor interactions.
- Generation of all income, expenditure, and balance sheet accounts and journals.
- Submission of Accounts to regulatory bodies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Ideally a Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- Relevant experience in a similar capacity, preferably within the charitable or non-profit sector.
- Proficient in Sage 50 accounting software.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.
- Familiarity with charity governance and tax regulations, especially VAT and Gift Aid as they pertain to charities.
- Experience in payroll and pension management.
- Proven ability to produce financial reports for senior leadership.
