About the Role

Our client, a leading property finance lender, is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join their team in Kent and Essex. As a key member of the Business Development team, you will be responsible for raising the profile of the organization across the region in the real estate space, liaising with brokers and introducers to promote the organization and educate the market about their appetite for lending.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in origination, with experience in real estate lending, particularly in Bridging and Buy to Let funding for experienced landlords. You will assess and shape deals, proactively seeking new opportunities to add to the organization's growing lending book.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work autonomously and have a real input into deal activity, working for a dynamic and innovative organization with a genuine appetite to lend.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate new real estate lending with an emphasis on Bridging and Buy to Let funding for experienced landlords
  • Liaise with brokers and introducers to promote the organization and educate the market about their appetite for lending
  • Assess and shape deals, proactively seeking new opportunities to add to the organization's growing lending book
  • Work autonomously, taking ownership and responsibility for driving the strategy forward and building something new
Requirements
  • Experience in real estate lending, particularly in Bridging and Buy to Let funding for experienced landlords
  • Good understanding of and track record in credit skills to assess and structure lending in this sector
  • Excellent external network of brokers/intermediaries and a good profile/presence
  • Good track record of business development and origination of new lending, particularly focused towards professional landlords
  • Able to work autonomously and be proactive and self-motivated
