About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Social Worker to join our Adult Sensory Service team in Kent County Council. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with deafness or deaf-blindness to lead independent lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Care Act Assessments and Mental Capacity Act Assessments to identify individual needs and develop support plans.
  • Work with adults with varying levels of complexity, including those with sensory impairments, to provide person-centered support and empower them to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and carers to build relationships and provide holistic support.
  • Engage with local communities to promote accessible support and services.
About You

We welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified Social Workers who can demonstrate capability in accordance with current professional standards and legislative frameworks.

You will hold a registration with Social Work England and possess excellent communication and literacy skills.
