POSITION SUMMARY
An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Site Operations Specialist within D R Newitt & Associates. This role encompasses various aspects of production and operational management.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the primary objective of this position is to facilitate the seamless functioning of all production, packaging, and warehousing processes, while also providing support to additional site operations such as weighbridge management, laboratory analysis, and hygiene protocols.
The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding all health and safety regulations, quality assurance, and food safety standards, ensuring compliance at all times.
This position follows a fixed shift schedule, consisting of 12-hour shifts across a 7-day week, totaling 42 hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Comply with company health and safety policies consistently.
- Maintain precise records for performance tracking and hygiene compliance.
- Participate in necessary training to meet job requirements.
- Ensure product safety through diligent management of all processing lines and product handling.
- Support the implementation of site policies and procedures.
- Minimize downtime to maximize operational efficiency.
- Conduct food safety inspections.
- Manage weighbridge operations.
- Perform laboratory testing on samples.
- Uphold cleaning and hygiene standards.
- Assist in various operational areas as needed.
- Implement a clean-as-you-go approach, including proper waste disposal.
- Work independently when required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- A collaborative team player.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills within operational settings.
- Analytical problem-solving skills to assess situations and develop logical solutions.
- Experience in food processing, packaging, and warehousing.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Trained in Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
- Current Forklift Truck (FLT) training certification is preferred.
