About the Company:

This regional developer is known for its unique projects, typically managing developments of up to 30 units. Currently, there are multiple projects in progress, with several more in the preconstruction phase.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will report directly to the Directors and will be responsible for:

  • Contractor procurement, including the preparation of tenders, analysis, and awarding contracts.
  • Establishing new commercial procedures, such as standardized templates, procurement trackers, and final accounting systems.
  • Collaborating with the Technical department and external design consultants to develop preconstruction plans and scopes of work.
  • Managing variation tracking to align with final accounts.
  • Overseeing risk assessments and cash flow projections.
  • Preparing monthly Cost Value Reports (CVRs).
  • Handling package management, including measurements, valuations, payment notices, and negotiations.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Qualification to HNC level.
  • Background in residential development.
  • Willingness to travel across the Southern Home Counties and Essex for site visits.
  • Ability to work in the office at least two days a week.
