Job Opportunity
At ZipRecruiter, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Director to join our team on a permanent basis. The main purpose of this role is to assist the Site Engineering Manager in the running of a busy, fast-moving manufacturing plant.
This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our organization.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Site Engineering Manager in the management of engineering permits to works, including contractor control and monitoring when applicable.
- Ensure that Predictive Maintenance (PPM) activities are completed to a high standard, utilizing the Shire system for accurate planning and tracking.
- Challenge and improve PPM with the shift teams.
- Monitor and improve engineering staff utilization and completion rates for planned and unplanned works in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Develop the knowledge of the shift teams and call upon functional support from the wider Engineering team.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis into failures.
- Manage visitors and service providers.
- Attend tier meetings and support Business Units and their teams.
- Develop relationships with shift leaders and production managers/leaders in the running and reporting of the shift.
- Support the engineering manager in ensuring compliance to both engineering quality and safety standards.
- Develop the training matrix for shift leaders and shift engineering teams.
- Electrical and Mechanical process expertise.
- Root cause analysis skills.
- Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering/Maintenance.
