About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to manage a diverse portfolio of Limited Companies and Partnerships. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing expert guidance on financial matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets for our clients
    • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
    • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions
  • Financial Operations Management
    • Oversee the financial operations of our clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws
    • Develop and implement financial processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients, providing exceptional customer service and support
    • Communicate financial information and insights to clients, helping them make informed business decisions
    • Identify opportunities to improve client financial performance and develop strategies to achieve goals
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial management or accounting operations
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Excellent financial planning and analysis skills
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
    • Proficient in cloud accounting software, such as Xero, Dext, and Fathom
