Job Title: Higher Leadership Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Leadership Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic and nurturing Primary School team. As a key member of our staff, you will provide essential support to both teachers and students, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • PPA Cover: Deliver lessons and activities during the class teacher's absence, ensuring continuity and engagement during their PPA time.
  • Classroom Support: Work closely with the class teacher to support day-to-day teaching and help to foster a positive and productive learning environment for all children.
  • SEND Support: Provide tailored support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, ensuring all pupils have the opportunity to succeed.
  • Small Group & 1:1 Interventions: Assist in delivering targeted interventions and support for all students, in small groups or 1:1 settings.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HTLA) qualification or an equivalent qualification.
  • Obtain an Enhanced Child Only DBS which is on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for DBS).
  • Experience working within a Primary School, ideally in a similar role.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with pupils with SEND.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
