Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Hardwick Primary School.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children in our community. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning in our school, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting teachers in the classroom, providing individualized support to pupils as needed
  • Assisting with lesson planning and preparation, including developing and delivering engaging and interactive learning activities
  • Working with pupils who require additional support, including those with special educational needs
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of our curriculum, including planning and delivering lessons and activities
  • Collaborating with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment

Requirements

  • NVQ 4 or willingness to study to attain HLTA status within 12 months
  • Experience of supporting teaching and learning in a school setting
  • Ability to reflect on and develop own practice and that of others
  • Good understanding of teaching English as an additional language
  • High expectations of behaviour and effective behaviour management strategies
