At Allied Bakeries, we're committed to excellence in every aspect of our business, including our fleet maintenance operations. As a VMU Coordinator (Mechanic Supervisor), you'll play a critical role in ensuring our vehicles are safe, reliable, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day running of the vehicle maintenance unit and team, ensuring compliance with legislative and company standards and procedures.
  • Lead and develop your team to work safely, meet targets, and continuously improve.
  • Ensure our fleet is maintained, with annual MOT tests, Tachograph calibrations, LOLER inspections, Tool/Garage equipment inspections & calibrations carried out to maximise fleet availability.

Requirements:

  • HGV Licence (ideally) or mechanical and supervisory experience with lighter good vehicles.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a collaborative and logical approach.
