Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Cancer Audit team as an MDT Coordinator. This is a 6-month secondment opportunity for NHS Scotland staff to develop their skills and gain experience in clinical audit.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate regular multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings for patients diagnosed with cancer(s) to ensure a seamless patient journey.
  • Collect, collate, enter, and report data on weekly urgent referral cancer monitoring, tracking of patients on the 62 and 31-day pathways, and preparation of monthly waiting times for submission.
  • Form effective relationships with a wide range of NHS staff to ensure successful collaboration and communication.

Requirements

  • High standard of education: at least Higher level or equivalent experience or ability in a related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills and knowledge of clinical audit and waiting times targets.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to effectively persuade, influence, and present information.
  • Excellent computer skills.
