About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Victim Support as a Caseworker, working with a team that provides specialist services to people affected by crime across England and Wales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred service users, ensuring each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service.
  • Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client, providing information and advocacy as required.
  • Identify barriers to individuals accessing our services and determine solutions, working alongside a team of staff to reflect the diverse community and the needs of victims.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships and promote effective communication between staff and stakeholders, maintaining accurate and confidential case records.
Requirements
  • Understanding of the impact of crime on victims, with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering services, using generic IT applications competently.
  • Understanding of practical application of equal opportunities and diversity and inclusivity, with the ability to balance competing needs and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining professional boundaries and knowledge of the requirement for confidentiality and safe working practices.
