This role is essential due to an internal promotion, and we are looking for a qualified accountant with strong technical skills to enhance their finance department.
Based in Coventry, this full-time position offers a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £60,000. The role primarily requires on-site presence to adapt to the fast-paced environment, with the option to work remotely one day a week and enjoy early finishes on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a small finance team, providing guidance and training as necessary.
- Prepare high-quality management accounts while adhering to strict internal deadlines.
- Compile statutory accounts and manage group consolidations.
- Assist in the weekly cash flow management process.
- Ensure compliance with VAT and Corporation Tax regulations.
- Prepare and submit group VAT returns.
- Support the Finance Director in financial planning and forecasting activities.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee credit control and cash collection processes.
- Manage payroll processing for both weekly and monthly cycles, coordinating with external providers.
- Act as the primary liaison for external auditors.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the Finance Director.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- ACA/ACCA qualified.
- Proficient in advanced Excel and IT applications.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Preferably from a mid-tier accounting practice background, seeking a transition into industry. Experience in manufacturing is a plus but not essential.
