About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Delivery Manager to join our team at Scott Logic Ltd. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex technology projects for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead the delivery of complex technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, understanding their business needs and delivering solutions that meet their expectations.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate hands-on expertise in managing software development projects using Agile methods, as well as having a good understanding of Waterfall-based delivery and associated pitfalls.
  • Team Leadership: Lead high-performing software development teams, including distributed teams, and ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver projects successfully.
  • Financial Management: Take responsibility for project financials, ensuring they are managed effectively to achieve targeted financial results.
  • Onboarding and Development: Support the onboarding of consultants to projects, assist in qualifying resource requests, and work with line managers and consultants to assess project fit.
  • Line Management: Undertake line management of assigned consultants, handling performance feedback and annual review processes.
  • Community Development: Contribute to the development of communities of practice and assets, such as offerings, white papers, blogs, delivery toolkits, and learning curricula.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Technology Consultancy Experience: Previous experience working in a technology consultancy environment.
  • Software Engineering Knowledge: Strong appreciation of modern software engineering and associated development technologies, ideally with a hands-on software development background.
  • Travel and Flexibility: Ability and willingness to travel to other Scott Logic offices and client sites within the UK and overseas, as required.
  • Dynamic Environment: Previous experience working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
  • Project Management Certification: Project management certification, such as PRINCE2 Practitioner status, PMI, or ScrumMaster.
  • Relevant University Degree: A relevant university degree.
