Pharmaron Industrial Placement Programme

We are seeking highly motivated and talented students to join our dynamic team as Industrial Placement Students in Analytical Sciences. This 12-month placement offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading pharmaceutical R&D facility, working on cutting-edge projects in gene therapy.

About the Role

As an Industrial Placement Student, you will be working closely with our experienced scientists to develop a wide range of skills in analytical assays, including plate-based assays and chromatography-based assays. You will be responsible for building and maintaining laboratory equipment, conducting experiments, and analyzing data. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to documentation, report writing, and presenting work to the wider team.

Requirements
  • Studying towards an undergraduate degree in Analytical or Medicinal Chemistry, life sciences (i.e., Molecular/Cell Biology, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology Biotechnology etc.).
  • Predicted 1st or 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent).
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Conscientious
  • Well-organised and confident to work independently
