About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled SAP Senior Authorised Person to join our team. As a key member of our High Voltage Operations and Maintenance team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our renewable energy assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements and maintain/improve safety standards
  • Become fully conversant with RES Electrical & Mechanical Safety Rules and Safety Rule Instructions
  • Produce and review method statements and risk assessments
  • Maintain the asset register and manage/unplanned maintenance activities on electrical equipment
  • Carry out inductions for sub-contractors and deliver Competent Person Training
  • Keep in close communication with HV Control and Project Lead SAP
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as DNO/NGT and asset owner
  • React to emergencies, site outages, and changing circumstances
  • Knowledge of key legislation underpinning UK high voltage electrical asset operation and maintenance
  • Detailed knowledge of UK industry HV electrical safety rules
  • Knowledge of offshore working
Requirements
  • Commissioning HV plant and equipment
  • Basic HV protection testing
  • 400kV SAP experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previously held SAP authorisation under high voltage electrical safety rules at 400KV
  • IOSH Managing Safely or CITB SMSTS or equivalent
  • Electrical Engineering HNC or equivalent industry experience
