We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Pharmacist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in the design and implementation of new ways of working, utilizing digital systems and designing new processes to ensure maximum levels of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Provide input to system and supplier evaluation, configuration, testing, and training on electronic prescribing and medicines administration systems.
- Undertake change management activity and act as project lead for departmental service improvement projects, focusing on digital transformation and the use of data to drive practice.
- Provide pharmaceutical expertise and advice to the adult pharmacy team.
- Contribute to the professional education agenda within the pharmacy department, including training for junior and trainee pharmacists.
- Collaborate with lead pharmacists on various projects across the adult pharmacy and service delivery teams.
- Strong communication skills to discuss therapeutic options and decisions with physicians.
- A compassionate approach to individual patient care.
- Good leadership skills in a small team.
- Proactive in looking for quality improvement opportunities.
