Join Our Team as a Government Affairs Manager

At Novelis, we are committed to shaping a sustainable world together. As a Government Affairs Manager, you will play a critical role in influencing UK and EU legislation, regulation, and policy debates to secure benefits and minimize risks to our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive implementation of Novelis' government affairs strategy with focus on UK affairs, UK/EU relationships, and circularity/decarbonization.
  • Create and cultivate network with, and expand Novelis' outreach to, UK stakeholders.
  • Support Novelis UK for external relations to industry and media and for communications in case of crisis.
  • Participate and represent Novelis' interests in relevant industry associations.
Requirements:
  • A higher education and advanced degree in public policy, political science, law, or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 6-8 years' experience in public policy, legislative affairs, lobbying, or applicable areas related to recycling/sustainability.
  • Strong network of contacts in the UK. Demonstrated interest and working knowledge in policy issues such as circular economy, climate, and trade.
  • Strategic mindset, strong relationship management capabilities, and demonstrated success in proactively building and working collaboratively with strategic alliances, coalitions, trade groups, etc.
