Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Warehouse Manager for a reputable European manufacturer in the construction materials industry. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a chance to contribute to a thriving organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the efficient selection and packaging of customer orders, ensuring accuracy in picking, final touches, packaging, and loading.
- Manage the 'goods in' process, which includes unloading, verifying, storing, and documenting incoming supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols while operating Forklifts, Counterbalance, and Pallet Pedestrian Trucks.
- Implement effective stock management practices, including storage and rotation, to minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring equipment is in good working order.
- Drive productivity in both the inbound and outbound logistics departments, optimizing space and supporting business growth.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing operational enhancements.
- Monitor and improve team performance metrics to boost operational efficiency.
- Assess training needs and provide appropriate solutions to enhance team capabilities.
- Create and manage the weekly work schedule, ensuring compliance with mandatory breaks and supporting team welfare.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess:
- Proficiency in IT applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- A solid understanding of warehouse operations in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience working cross-functionally to ensure high-quality order fulfillment.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- A flexible and proactive attitude, willing to go above and beyond for the organization and team.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and resolving issues promptly.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities while remaining actively involved in operations.
- A valid Forklift and Pump Truck License.
Benefits:
This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including an annual bonus, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and a robust pension scheme. The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
