Key Responsibilities:

  • Loan Application Review: Review and underwrite BTL loan applications, ensuring all documentation, including valuation reports, meets the firm's standards.
  • Information Request: Request additional information from brokers when necessary, addressing any concerns or discrepancies.
  • Applicant and Property Assessment: Conduct thorough checks on applicants and properties to assess their suitability for the loan.
  • Pipeline Management: Proactively manage a pipeline of mortgage applications, ensuring timely updates and chasing outstanding information from third parties.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with introducers, valuers, and solicitors to oversee cases from start to completion.

Requirements:

  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail
  • Team Player: Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Underwriting Experience: Experience in underwriting BTL mortgage applications.
