Senior Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Liberty Global. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a critical role in helping us to mature our incident response capabilities and protect our global network from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide a team of security analysts to develop their skills and provide technical escalation support.
- Drive the development of threat hunting, adversary emulation, and security use cases to stay ahead of emerging threats.
- Understand complex IT environments and develop defensive methodologies to mitigate potential attack vectors.
- Analyze a wide range of log sources and data to identify malware types, infection methods, and objectives.
- Assist in investigations and respond to security incidents to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Take ownership of resolving issues and make decisions to drive results.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in managing, investigating, and responding to cyber incidents.
- Deep knowledge of technical security systems, security architecture, and security technology.
- Experience with Splunk queries, dash boarding, and use case creation.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity methodologies, including the Cyber Kill Chain and Mitre ATT&CK Framework.
- Ability to identify developing patterns and trends in data and provide incident root cause analysis.
- Experience with security technologies, such as Firewalls, Snort, and Intrusion Detection Systems.
- Working knowledge of SIEM architecture, XDR, and Vulnerability Management.
- Sandboxing technologies, such as Cuckoo and Malware reverse engineering.
- Understanding of DFIR toolsets, including Volatility and SIFT Workstation.
- Knowledge of Data Protection (GDPR) and its role within a business.
Desirable:
- Global Information Assurance Certifications (GIAC), such as Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) or Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)
