Compensation Package: Up to £350,000

Stanford Black Limited is a pioneering trading firm focused on systematic strategies across diverse liquid asset classes in global markets.

As a Senior Quantitative Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the creation of a state-of-the-art derivatives pricing framework. Your responsibilities will include analyzing macroeconomic indicators, developing sophisticated quantitative models, and delivering actionable insights to enhance trading strategies within the 'Rates' sector.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive financial acumen coupled with advanced technical skills, particularly in C++ (experience with C++17/20 is advantageous) and Python (for analytics).

We seek individuals with a robust background in mathematics, statistics, or physics, who demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities and a commitment to remaining informed about the latest advancements in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of a New Pricing Framework: Spearhead the design, development, and execution of a cutting-edge, high-performance pricing framework tailored for interest rate derivatives. Utilize your C++ expertise to construct a resilient system capable of managing the complexities associated with real-time trading and risk assessment.
  • Comprehensive Data Analysis: Employ Python to conduct thorough data analyses, supporting the validation and enhancement of pricing models and trading strategies. Your analytical contributions will significantly impact decision-making processes within the organization.
  • Model Creation and Validation: Formulate and validate intricate pricing models for various interest rate derivatives, ensuring they align with contemporary market trends and theoretical advancements.
  • Collaboration and Innovation: Collaborate closely with traders, quantitative analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, test models, and implement your solutions in a live trading context. Foster innovation by integrating the latest quantitative methodologies and technologies into our systems.
  • Performance Enhancement: Guarantee that the pricing framework is optimized for speed and efficiency, capable of processing large datasets and executing real-time calculations with minimal latency.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in C++: Extensive experience in C++ programming, particularly in the development of financial applications. Your code should be clean, well-documented, and optimized for performance.
  • Proficiency in Python: Strong experience with Python, especially in data analytics, model prototyping, and algorithmic trading strategies. Ability to seamlessly integrate Python and C++ in a production environment.
  • In-Depth Knowledge of Rates: Comprehensive understanding of the Rates asset class, including the intricacies of interest rate derivatives, pricing models, and financial instruments. Familiarity with curve construction, volatility surfaces, and risk management in the context of Rates is essential.
  • Quantitative and Analytical Expertise: Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in Mathematics, Physics, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.
  • Front Office Experience: Proven experience working in a front office environment, particularly in a role that directly supports trading activities. Experience in high-frequency trading or other fast-paced financial settings is a plus.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
