About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Systems Engineer to join our team at Gold Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, integrating, and supporting HVAC systems for our clients in the defence manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out complex technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options, and prepare reports with suggested recommendations to support the resolution of problems and the improvement of engineering capability.
  • Take ownership of scope within your role and make engineering decisions within your sphere of responsibility.
  • Prepare specifications, develop designs in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards, and carry out design appraisals in assigned areas to ensure all standards are maintained.
  • Act as main point of contact with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters, to resolve complex problems and issues and to maintain awareness in both parties of priorities and objectives.
  • Participate fully in developing, maintaining and modifying engineering processes and procedures in assigned areas in response to technical developments and operational need.
  • Develop the team through the L&D and performance management process, identifying training and development requirements and skill gaps.
Requirements
  • Experience and expertise in Marine Engineering Systems, Defence or similar industry sector.
  • Experience in the design, build, integration, support and operation of HVAC Systems.
  • Knowledge of processes and tools used in Marine Engineering.
  • Experience in Naval Ships.
  • Understanding of how marine engineering integrates into other technologies and products.
  • Commercial Awareness.
