We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our team in South Croydon. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise children in the setting
  • Support colleagues and work as part of a team to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children
  • Complete and keep up to date key children developmental records
  • Complete and keep up to date daily online care diary on Tapestry
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that Ofsted standards are followed at all times
  • Assist in the continuous improvement in childcare practices
  • Attend ongoing training (in-house and courses) to support CPD
Requirements
  • Previous experience of working in a nursery setting
  • Good understanding of the EYFS
  • Minimum relevant Level 3 qualification
  • IT proficient for writing reports/updating online journals
  • In-depth understanding of children's development and their emotional, physical and intellectual needs
  • Physical fitness to lift and handle children and equipment

Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualified in childcare
  • Leadership skills to guide and support children effectively
  • Proficiency in English to communicate with parents and staff
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting essential
  • Ability to manage and engage with children of various ages
  • Qualifications in Early Childhood Education would be advantageous
Working Hours

Monday to Friday - 8am-6pm

Education:

Nursery: 1-2 years (required)

Driving Licence (preferred)

DBS (preferred)

Level 3 nursery practitioner or early years qualification (required)
