Our focus is on implementing electrolytic hydrogen initiatives as a crucial element of the global transition towards sustainable energy and decarbonization. We collaborate closely with affiliated companies throughout the planning, permitting, engineering, design, and construction phases of hydrogen projects.

We are looking for a driven and skilled Junior Project Engineer with an engineering background to assist in the successful execution of various green hydrogen initiatives and engage in all stages of the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have the chance to work on pioneering projects, acquiring invaluable experience in the hydrogen and renewable energy industries while supporting our seasoned project engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the multi-disciplinary design development (including chemical, mechanical, electrical, civil, instrumentation, control, and automation) and successful execution of green hydrogen projects.
  • Help prepare essential project documentation (such as equipment specifications, technical drawings, and stage gate reports).
  • Participate in project meetings and complete assigned follow-up tasks promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal GCH team to ensure effective support from other departments.
  • Coordinate and manage external resources and activities (e.g., site surveys).
  • Assist in developing project cost estimates.
  • Support the creation of project schedules.
  • Engage with equipment suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct project procurement activities, including issuing requests for information/quotation and supporting formal tendering processes.
  • Assist in the commissioning of newly installed equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards during project activities.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development to remain updated with industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in engineering (e.g., chemical, mechanical, electrical) or a related discipline.
  • A strong academic background showcasing technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, supported by a valid UK driving license.
  • Legal authorization to work full-time in the United Kingdom indefinitely.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant work experience in an engineering or project role (up to 2 years).
  • Familiarity with renewable energy technologies and/or project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, or PMI).
  • Understanding of industry-specific standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Active membership in recognized engineering institutions or societies.
