About the Role

McGregor Boyall is seeking a skilled Java Software Engineer to join our team in the FX Banking sector. As a key member of our E-Trading platform, you will work closely with trading, front office, and research teams to develop and maintain low latency pricing and connectivity systems.

This role involves working on FX and forward pricing engines, as well as introducing the latest low latency technology and architecture. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-performance systems that meet the needs of our clients and internal users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop low latency Java applications for E-Trading platforms
  • Collaborate with trading, front office, and research teams to understand business requirements and develop solutions
  • Work with senior engineers to design and implement high-performance systems
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure system reliability and performance
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest low latency technology and architecture trends
Requirements
  • Strong Java development skills, including experience with multi-threading
  • Experience in an E-Trading business and/or high-performance/low-latency development
  • Highly motivated to work directly with traders
  • A computer science/equivalent degree
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous Investment Banking Experience
