Procurement Heads is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join their team as an IT Category Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned procurement professional to take on a challenging role and make a significant impact on the company's procurement strategy.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all procurement activities for the company's IT category, including sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management. This will involve working closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and developing effective procurement strategies to meet those needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and Contract Management: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to ensure the company gets the best value for its IT spend. Manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Category Strategy Development: Work with internal stakeholders to develop and implement category strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's needs and expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination across departments.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.
Requirements
- Strong Category Knowledge: Proven experience in IT procurement, with a strong understanding of the latest trends and technologies.
- Good People Engagement and Influencing Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Business Partnering Skills: Proven ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop effective procurement strategies.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to build and develop relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience in Procurement: Proven experience in procurement, particularly in the IT category.
- Willingness to Commute: Willingness to commute to the company's headquarters in Central London, three days per week.
